The 52nd Annual Bayou Classic returned to New Orleans over Thanksgiving weekend, continuing its legacy as one of the nation’s most celebrated HBCU traditions. Anchored by the historic rivalry between Southern University and Grambling State University at the Caesars Superdome, the weekend featured the iconic Thanksgiving Day Parade, Battle of the Bands, Greek Show, and vibrant fan activations across the city. Fan Fest at Champions Square was headlined by 2 Chainz and introduced the Wellness Yard, sponsored by NMA and LCMC Health, promoting community health and engagement. The halftime show electrified the crowd with performances by GloRilla and Juvenile, alongside the legendary Human Jukebox and World Famed Tiger Marching Band. Blending football, music, culture, and community impact, the 52nd Bayou Classic once again showcased the pride and excellence of HBCU heritage.
