The 123rd Annual Convention and Scientific Assembly of the National Medical Association (NMA) was held July 19–23, 2025 in Chicago, Illinois, at the Hilton Chicago, bringing together thousands of Black physicians, healthcare professionals, academicians, and students for the largest national gathering focused on medical science, advocacy, and health equity. As the foremost forum on African American health and clinical excellence, the event featured cutting‑edge medical education, continuing medical education (CME) sessions, expert‑led panels, specialty section meetings, and an expansive exhibit hall showcasing innovations and partner organizations. Highlights included the Opening & Awards Ceremony, Edward C. Mazique, M.D. Symposium, Edith Irby Jones, M.D. Plenary, W. Montague Cobb, M.D. Lecture & Symposium, leadership forums, networking receptions, and collaborative workshops addressing pressing topics in population health and healthcare delivery. Under the theme “Transforming Population Health: The Promise of Health Equity Across Therapeutic Areas to Improve Quality and Span of Life,” the Convention empowered attendees to advance solutions for health disparities and strengthen community impact.
