NMA Convention and Scientific Assembly 2026 Puerto Rico
The National Medical Association (NMA) hosted its 2026 Annual Convention & Scientific Assembly, July 25–29, at the Puerto Rico Convention Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Under the theme “The New Reconstruction – Mobilizing Healthcare Justice for a New America: Our Patients, Providers, and Policy,” the convention united physicians, researchers, healthcare professionals, and industry leaders to advance medicine, leadership, and health equity. Led by NMA President Dr. Roger A. Mitchell Jr., the five-day gathering featured scientific presentations, educational sessions, the Opening & Awards Ceremony, the 19th Annual Walk a Mile With a Child, the Council on Concerns of Women Physicians Awards Luncheon, and an Exhibit Hall showcasing healthcare innovations. Additional highlights included Hip Hop for Life, the President’s Installation, and the President’s Ball. Through education, advocacy, innovation, and community engagement, the convention reinforced the NMA’s commitment to improving patient outcomes, strengthening healthcare access, and shaping the future of medicine.
